June 6th 1944. It was the first day on the assault of German Territory in Europe on the beaches of Normandy. It was supposed to decide the outcome of the War. The maps in this report show the different Regiments and Divisions of the British and American Forces. They basically fought and won the War a year after. As you can see, there are five different beaches: Omaha, Juno, Sword, Utah, and Gold. They were separated into different attack points so the American and British could take their own and not start a Second Revolutionary War. Continuing on, the five beaches were all code-named. All I know is that it was the Beaches of Normandy as the Beaches name. Anyway, America took Utah and Omaha, Britain took Gold, Sword, and Juno. Airborne Troops were also used in it. For some reason, they were more successful than the Landers. The American 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions landed near Ste. Mere Eglise and the British 6th Airborne Division landed near Caen.
